Dashboard Widgets Growing Up

Since Apple Mac OS X Tiger 10.4 came out to the public, http://www.widgetworld.nl has been online and offering a widgetearchive for enthusiast outthere. There have been some changes in looks and download sections for the widget archives, but this year we will have the biggest change on the website since the making of it. Before the end of this year widgteworld.nl will get a complete overhaul in the download-section.

http://www.widgetworld.nl will get a complete new download and archiving section, but what is the main feature is how the widgets will be presented. We will have the best possible previews on dashboard widgets so that you can see how it will look and feel in the Dashboard before even downloading it.

We are very busy in moving our complete archive into the new section and it will still take some time before all the dashboard widgtes are in the new archive, but once this is done we are sure you are going to find this new preview one giant step ahead.

Working hard on new dashboard widget download section

Last week we posted an article about renewing the WidgetWorld website. This week we are happy to announce the progress is going as planned. In the process we decided to add a great looking voting / rating system for the downloads that that section will offer

Hopefully this will enlarge the user-experience on our WidgetWorld website. One thing is for sure. Having checked out many many sites that offer downloads, this new particular way we offer a preview on our

downloadable widgets

is unique for what we have seen of it.
Another few tips that have nothing to do with widgets but are at least as handy tools to use. Google Spreadsheet and Writely.

Since one month we have set up a little website where you can leave your e-mail address and we will sent you an invitation for Google Spreadsheet and/or Writely. So far we have sent out ± 300 invitations in total and we would like to give lots more. Renewal of Dashboard Widgets Download Section

  

Soon the WidgetWorld website   will offer an entirely new Widget download section. There will be a complete overhaul of our current widget download section.

The renewal of our Widget downloads will include a full categorie list, a top hits containing 50 of the best rated dashboard widgets, a last added section that will also include the 50 latest uploaded widgets.
